BYD Super e 1000V Platform Delivers Ultra-Fast Charging
BYD has introduced the Super e 1000V electric vehicle platform, pushing EV charging technology beyond the industry-standard 800V system. This next-generation platform supports 1MW (1000kW) DC ultra-fast charging, delivering 400 km of range in just 5 minutes.
Revolutionary Charging Speed
With the Super e 1000V platform, every 1 second of charging adds 2 km of range. This breakthrough significantly narrows the gap between EV charging and traditional fuel refueling. Unlike current EV systems, this platform enables drivers to recharge quickly and drive longer distances with ease.
To enhance charging performance, BYD has developed a new generation of Blade Batteries. These high-efficiency lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries achieve a 10C charging rate, meaning a full charge takes only 6 minutes.
Better Battery Performance and Cooling
The 1000V architecture integrates low-resistance technology, which reduces battery heat generation by 50 percent. Meanwhile, an improved cooling system boosts heat exchange efficiency by 90 percent, optimizing battery stability and durability.
Most Powerful Electric Motor in the Industry
BYD’s Super e platform also brings a next-generation electric motor with a rotational speed of 30,511 RPM. This motor sets a new industry record for speed and power.
Total output reaches 580kW (789PS), while its power density reaches 16.4kW/kg, making it the most efficient EV motor available.

For added functionality, the BYD Tang L also includes an optional DJI-developed drone. This drone docks on the roof of the vehicle and operates at speeds below 25 km/h. The add-on is priced at 16,000 RMB.
BYD’s Megawatt Flash Charging Network
To maximize the Super e 1000V platform’s potential, BYD is rolling out 4,000 "Megawatt Flash Charging Stations" across China. These stations will feature:
